BIL Group forges new partnership with British Association of Removers

We’re pleased to announce that BIL Group has joined the British Association of Removers (BAR) as an affiliate member.

BAR is the UK’s leading trade association for the removals and storage industry, representing companies that move homes and businesses across the country and beyond. As affiliate members, we’re joining a network built on professionalism, training, and trusted standards; values that line up closely with our own approach to manufacturing and supply.

Why it matters

Removal companies rely on equipment that simply doesn’t fail on the job. From castors and wheels to sack trucks and dollies, removers need kit that can handle daily wear, heavy loads, and constant movement without letting a crew down. That’s exactly the kind of demand BIL Group has been engineering for since our beginnings in 1972, manufacturing and distributing castors, wheels, and materials handling equipment from our base in Calne, Wiltshire.

BIL Group has spent decades manufacturing and supplying castors, wheels and materials handling equipment; equipment that’s found its way into warehouses, retail units, airports, and industrial sites across the UK. That manufacturing background means we understand the practical realities of equipment that’s used hard, every day, by people relying on it to do their jobs properly. It’s the same standard we bring to supporting BAR members.

Becoming a BAR affiliate gives us a closer line into the removals sector: a better understanding of the day-to-day pressures crews face, and a direct channel to support BAR members with equipment built for the job, from trolleys and sack trucks to the wheels and castors that keep them rolling.

For removal businesses, the right castors can be the difference between a smooth move and a damaged floor, a stuck trolley, or an injured back. Heavy-duty, load-rated castors with the correct wheel material for the surface reduce wear on equipment, damage to flooring and risk to crews. As a BAR affiliate, we’re looking forward to sharing more of this practical product knowledge directly with members who move goods for a living.
